PracticalGetting around: zémidjans, taxis and drivers
Motorbike taxis in town, a car for longer trips.
In town, zémidjans (motorbike taxis) are everywhere, recognisable by their coloured shirts: agree the fare before you get on and ask for a helmet. For longer trips (Abomey, Grand-Popo, the north), a car with a driver is safer and more comfortable.
On GANAALE, the fare is shown before you request a ride.
