Field agent – data collection (Senegal)

You are GANAALE's eyes and voice in your area. You find and check places to visit and the professionals who serve travellers (lodgings, restaurants, guides, craftspeople, transport providers, roadside repairers…), help them join the platform and make sure what travellers see is accurate and up to date. A field role, close to people, that will grow with the project.

Your missions

• List the places to visit and the professionals in your area, including those who work informally
• Check on site that known addresses still exist, under what name, and what they offer (opening hours, prices, access, contacts)
• Take sharp, faithful photos and record the GPS position of every place
• Introduce GANAALE to business owners, help them sign up or claim their listing, and put together their file (documents, photo, ID number)
• Support partners in their first steps: app, portal, QR codes, answering travellers
• Enter information every day in GANAALE's tools and report what has changed
• Tell the team what you see: travellers' needs, partners' difficulties, events, ideas
• Represent GANAALE at local meetings, fairs or promotional events
• Any other task related to GANAALE's activity that the team entrusts to you, as field needs and the project evolve

Who we are looking for

• You know your region, its neighbourhoods and its people well, and love showing it off
• Comfortable with a smartphone: photos, GPS, apps, messaging
• Fluent French; Wolof, Serer, Pulaar or Jola a plus
• At ease approaching people, explaining simply and persuading respectfully
• Rigorous, honest and autonomous: what you enter earns travellers' trust
• Able to travel around your area (a licence or a motorbike is a plus)
• High-school diploma or equivalent experience; the will to learn counts as much as qualifications
